The 11th annual 2008 Folklórico Festival is a two-day bilingual event in Spanish and English. It is a combination of performances, workshops, and classes involving over twenty local and state music and folkloric groups plus two international groups, for a total of over four hundred performing artists. The festival is free to the public and will bring together a multi-ethnic group of local artists and international professionals to share their traditional folkloric music, dance, art, customs, crafts, and food

2008 FESTIVAL
MISSION
The mission is to increase awareness and promote the traditional
and folkloric music and dances of Mexico, Central and South America
by providing educational dance programs, public performances and
artistic enrichment events to the community.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the 9th annual Folklórico 2008 Festival
is to present a family-oriented cultural and educational performing
arts program that connects Hispanic, Indigenous (Indian), European
and African communities throughout the region by celebrating
a unique combination of cultures and its relationship to history
and the world at large.
